White Beach is Boracay's main tourist area. It is about four kilometers long and lined with resorts, hotels, lodging houses, restaurants, and other tourism-related businesses. Because it is on the western side of the island, It's sheltered from the Amihan wind, during which the prevailing wind blows from the east. During the Amihan season, the water off White Beach is often glassy-smooth. Boracay Island and its beaches have received awards from numerous travel publications and agencies, and White Beach ranks one of the best.
Puka Shell Beach is located on the northern shore of Boracay known for its very fine white sand. This Beach is an image of what most people expect on a tropical island: white sand, azure water, and relatively empty. It is less crowded than White Beach, making it a more relaxing spot for sunbathing and swimming.
