Kyaikhtiyo Pagoda
In the morning, you will be picked up at your hotel at 08:30 AM and drive to Kyaikhtiyo (about 5 hours’ drive) in the Mon state, site of the famous ‘Golden Rock’. It is one of the most revered Buddhist shrines.
On the way to Kyaikhtiyo, we will visit Taukkyan War Cemetery which is for Allied soldiers from the British Commonwealth who died in battle in Burma during the Second World War. There are 867 graves that contain the remains of unidentified soldiers. It is one of the most visited and high rated war sites of all Asia.
Then continue to Kyaikhtiyo, a large boulder, which appears delicately balanced, supposedly by the assistance of a well place hair of the Buddha, on the edge of a cliff near the top of a mountain. We will take a local truck from the base camp to the beginning of the trail from where it is a 45-minute walk to the top. Enjoy Golden Rock sightseeing which includes spectacular mountain views and pilgrims at the Golden Rock.

Kyaikhtiyo - Bago - Yangon
Early morning, get up to enjoy the beautiful sunrise at Kyaikhtiyo.
After breakfast at hotel, we will descend the mountain by local truck to base camp where our driver is waiting. Upon arrival to base camp, we will drive to Bago; an ancient capital of the Mon Kingdom in 15th Century, situated only 80 km north-east of Yangon.
Upon arrival, we will visit the colorful local market to observe the daily life of local people and then highlight places including the Shwemawdaw Pagoda; one of the most venerated pagodas in Myanmar, Shwethalyaung Pagoda; the world’s most beautiful Reclining Buddha and Kanbawza Thardi Palace; the old palace of King Bayint Naung.
Afterwards we will drive back to Yangon. During the journey, we will stop to appreciate the Kyaik Pun Pagoda, four huge Buddha Image sitting back to. Then we will transfer back to your hotel at downtown.
