After breakfast, take a truck to go back to the base camp. Then drive in the direction of southern Myanmar (approximately 3 hours; 153 km) to visit Mawlamyine, the capital of Mon state. Mawlamyine was the first capital and the important port for exporting teak under the british rule.

Your orientation tour in Mawlamyine begins with exploring of some colonial buildings, pagodas (e.g. Mahamuni pagoda) and the Seindon Mibaya Kyaung, the most beautiful monastery in Mawlamyine. In the evening, take a walk along the strand road by enjoying the beautiful sunset at the view point.

In the morning, stroll in the Mawlamyaine Market to experience the active life of vendors selling seasonal fruits, vegetables and also foreign products mostly from Thailand. Then drive to the jetty to take a boat (approximately 20 minutes) to Shampoo Island (Gaungse Kyun). The island is named Shampoo Island because the king's hair-washing ceremony was hold using water from the spring from this island. Visit the monastery there and meet with the nice and friendly local people there. I

Afterwards drive to Mudon (29 km the further south of Mawlamyine) to visit Win Sein Yadanar Taung, the longest reclining Buddha in the world with 183 m. Explore interior part of the Buddha. In each floor, the Stories of Buddha’s life time and other related buddhist history and teaching are described. Drive back to Mawlamyine.

After breakfast, drive to Hpa An (about 57Km / 1.5 hr drive). Hpa An is the capital of Karin state. Karen people are friendly and open-minded. On the way, visit a impressive monastry donated by U Nar Auk.

In Hpa An, visit Kyauk Kalat Pagoda which is located in the middle of lake with beautiful landscape. In the evening enjoy the beautiful sunset at the ShweYinMaw pagoda.

After breakfast, visit the Mt. Zwekabin which is the symbol of Karen People. You may go up to the top of the mountain (approximately one and half hour) to enjoy the panoramic view of Karen state. Make a short visit to the Lumbini park. Afterwards, drive to visit Karen village called Lakane and meet with friendly Karen people.

Continue to Kaw Kathaung Cave where you explore Buddhist murals and cravings. You can also climb to the top to enjoy the panoramic view of paddy fields and mountains. Next visit to Sadan cave with a short stop at Eainnu village where you can experience weaving of Kayin traditional clothes. Sadan cave is a must-do visit. W alk through the amazing cave. Please bring a torch with you, wear a good shoes as it might be slippery. After walking about 45 minutes, you will see the exit where you take a boat. After enjoying the boat ride about 20 minutes, get back to your car and drive back to your hotel.

After having breakfast, drive back to Yangon (approximately 6 hours / 287 km).
