Morning tour to visit Grand Circuit including East Mebon, Ta Som, Neak Pean, Preah Khan is a huge, highly explorable monastic complex with full of carvings, passages and photo opportunities. It originally served as a Buddhist monastery and school, engaging over 1000 monks and Pre Rup (Change the body). Afternoon continue to see the “gem” of the Angkor area, the pretty temple of Banteay Srey, which is best viewed in the warm afternoon light. The so-called “Citadel of the Women” was built between the 11th and 13th century and remains the best preserved temple in Cambodia. It displays some of the finest examples of classical Khmer art as this small temple is noted for its truly remarkable fine bas-reliefs, depicting Hindu god Shiva. Banteay Srey is unique in that it is constructed of pink sandstone, which is seen nowhere else in Angkor. Also don’t miss to visit the Banteay Samre. Situated on the eastern edge of the Angkor complex, this temple is very similar to Angkor Wat. The structure with its typical lotus flower shaped tower but has compact proportions. This temple was built during the best period of the Khmer architecture and its condition is almost perfect.

After breakfast, tour to the more hidden Khmer temple of Beng Melea, the largely temple overrun by vegetation and very lightly visited by the tourists, giving it an adventurous, 'lost temple' feel. It was built in early 11th century by the King Suryavarman II. Afternoon take a boat trip to enjoy the beautiful lake view and mangrove forest on the lake, then spend rest of the afternoon at the largest village on the lake which is called Kompong Phluk, to discover the fascinating daily lives of the local people who leave on the water. In the village you have the possibility to be paddled by canoe through the village and the flooded forest, as long as the water level is sufficient (depending on the season). Kampong Pluk is a collection of three villages of houses on stilts within the overflow area of the Tonle Saps with about 3000 inhabitants. A unique experience.
